Regional Capacity Building Initiative

Kidsafe SA with the support from the Department of Infrastructure and Transport are taking their training skills to regional centres to provide local business with the opportunity to learn new skills and support their local families.

Transport accidents are the number one cause of injury-related deaths in children aged up to 14 years.
Kidsafe data collection has consistently found that 70-80% of children are not correctly restrained while traveling in the car. Kidsafe is dedicated to the prevention of these transport-related deaths and hospitalisations.

The initiative will increase the number of professional child car restraint fitting services in the regions so families can make sure their little ones are travelling safe and secure when in the car.

We are currently focusing on the regions below:

  • Riverland
  • Port Augusta
  • Mount Gambier

If you are a business passionate about helping children travel safely in a car and would like to add a new initiative/service to your business. Please contact us below.
