Welcome to Kidsafe SA’s E-learning Tool: Introduction to Child Car Restraints.
This E-learning tool, developed by the experts in Child Car Restraint Training and RTO of the accredited courses in this area (CRFPIA301, CRFPIA302, 52862WA), brings together the foundational learning needed to be able to understand Child Car Restraints and the importance of how to travel with children safely.
This interactive online course provides information on:
- Introduction to child car restraints
- Your legal requirements
- Australian Standards
- Different types of child car restraints
- How to select the right restraint
- Old, second hand and damaged restraints
- How to install different child car restraints

The E-learning tool has activities throughout to guide your understanding, with a short assessment at the completion of the course. Upon successful completion of the course a certificate can be issued to the participant.
Who should enrol?
Suitable for parents and carers, education, health and community professionals required to transport children as part of their job role. It is designed to ensure that you have the required knowledge to make informed choices on how to safely transport children in your care.
Entry Requirements
This course requires a general command of written English, and general computer skills. A laptop or desk top computer with internet access and print capabilities if a hard copy print of course certificate is required.
