kidsafe playground audit and inspections
As part of the Kidafe SA Playground Safety Project, funded by Australian Government Department of Health & Ageing, we are able to offer a free playground inspection to 8 sites which meet DECS index of disadvantage category 1 or 2. Subsequently this service will be offered on-going on a fee for service basis.
Subsequent to the inspection and audit, the playspace provider will be issued with a detailed written report, complete with photos, of any equipment and/or hazards identified as needing attention. Recommendations will be included to ensure playspaces and play equipment are compliant with relevant Australian Standards.
To register an expression of interest for one of the free inspections, either email or fax Kidsafe SA with a breif description of the concerns with your playspace, which would benefit from a Kidsafe SA playground audit.
Your brief expression of interest will need to address the the following:
1. Name and location of site including contact details
2. Type and age of equipment and undersurfacing
3. Why you feel you need a playground audit
4. Factors which would make it difficult for your site to fund an audit
5. Your plans for any upgrades to the playspace.
