Statistics gathered from Kidsafe have found that 70-80% of children are travelling incorrectly restrained in the car. Children who are incorrectly restrained are up to 7 times more likely to be injured in the event of a crash.
Kidsafe SA provides nationally accredited training for people fitting restraints in a professional capacity either as Child Restraint Installers or for those who transport children as part of their work.
We currently offer a full two-day course, 52778WA Type 1 Child Car Restraint Installation, for people who wish to conduct Type 1 fitting and checking services (professional child restraint fitting services).
We also provide training in the standalone unit RSCICR301A Provide Information and Advice on Correct Child Car Restraint Use (One Day Course) for people fitting restraints in a professional capacity (family day care, foster care, etc.) to ensure they can appropriately select, set‐up, install and adjust restraints for children in their care.
Details about each of the courses can be found below.
