Safety for Our Little Fellas

Kidsafe SA, together with ARMSU and Burns SA, have developed resources for Aboriginal families and communities covering the main child injury prevention topics.

The “Safety for Our Little Fellas” resources have been developed in an attempt to reduce the unfortunately high level of death and serious injury to Australian children, as a result of unintentional, and very often preventable, injury. Resources were initially developed in 2010 and were updated in 2014.

Training Flip Chart covering the following topics: Supervision, Burns and Scalds: In and Around the Home, Burns and Scalds: Out and About, First Aid, Home Fire Escape Plan, Drowning, Safe Sleeping, Choking and Suffocation, Poisoning, Car Seats and Driving with Kids, Dogs and Children, Falls.

Posters: Burns and Scalds, Safe Sleeping, Child Restraints and Driving with Kids, Choking and Suffocation/ Poisoning, Drowning and Falls (5 in total).

Information Sheets: Burns and Scalds In and Around the Home, Burns and Scalds Out and About, Falls, Car Seats and Driving With Kids, Choking and Suffocation, Poisoning, Dogs and Children, Home Fire Escape Plan, Drowning and Safe Sleeping (10 in total)
